This article explains how school administrators can set up and manage attendance percentage rules in Edunation. These settings are crucial for determining course requirements, managing absence impact, and defining the grace period for attendance updates.

Instructions to Configure Attendance Percentage

Step 1: Access School Settings

  • Log in with your Admin account.

  • From the left-side panel, go to Account Settings > School Settings.

  • Click on the General Settings tab at the top of the page.

You must have institution-level permission to access this section.

Step 2: Locate the Attendance Percentage Section

Scroll down the General Settings tab until you find the Attendance Percentage section. Here, you’ll see three fields:

  • Attendance percentage needed for the course: Sets the minimum percentage a student must attend to pass the course.

  • Lessons missing percentage for absence days: Defines the threshold of missed lessons that count as a full absence day.

  • Attendance Update Grace Period: Determines the number of days allowed for staff to update attendance records.

Step 3: Enter or Adjust the Values

  • Click inside any of the input boxes to enter a new value.

  • Make sure the values reflect your school’s policy.

Example Values:

  • Attendance Needed: 98%

  • Absence Day Threshold: 30%

  • Grace Period: 365 days

Changes are saved automatically once values are updated.
