This Article explains how school administrators can efficiently update the lock status of Gradebooks within the Edunation platform. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to modify the lock status of one or more Gradebooks.


Step 1: Navigate to the Gradebooks Page

  1. Log in to your Edunation account with administrative privileges.
  2. In the left-hand navigation menu, go to Assessment > Gradebooks.
  3. Select the academic year from the dropdown menu and search for the Gradebooks you want to update.

Tip: Use the search bar to quickly find specific gradebooks.


Step 2: Select the Gradebooks to Modify

  1. Identify the Gradebooks you want to update.
  2. Check the boxes beside the relevant Gradebooks.
  3. The bottom panel will display the number of selected gradebooks (e.g., “3 Selected Gradebooks”).

Note: You can select multiple gradebooks to apply bulk changes.


Step 3: Update the Lock Status

  1. Click the Bulk Change Icon.
  2. From the Bulk Change dropdown, select Lock Status.
  3. Choose the desired status from the options:
    • Unlocked: The Gradebook can be modified.
    • Locked: Gradebook changes are restricted.
  4. Click Apply to save the changes.


Reminder: Ensure that the gradebooks are reviewed before locking, as locked gradebooks cannot be edited without unlocking them.
