Instructions to Add a Gradebook

Follow the step-by-step guide below to create a Gradebook  tailored to your needs:


Step 1: Access the Gradebooks Page

To begin, navigate to the Gradebooks section in the system.

  • Open the Assessment module from the left-hand menu.
  • Select Gradebooks from the dropdown options.

Step 2: Open the Add Gradebook Window

Now, initiate the creation of a new gradebook.

  • Click on the green plus (+) button at the top-right corner of the Gradebooks page.
  • A window will pop up, prompting you to fill in the required details for the Gradebook.

Step 3: Populate the Gradebook Details

In this step, you’ll configure the primary settings of your gradebook.

  • Title: Enter a descriptive title for the Gradebook  (e.g., "Semester 1 Final Exam").
  • Course: Choose the appropriate course from the dropdown.
  • Academic Year: Confirm the correct academic year for the Gradebook.

Step 4: Set Up Grades and Evaluation Types

Define the structure of your Gradebook by adding grades and evaluation methods.

  • Add a Grade Group Title to organize related evaluations (e.g., "Assignments").
  • Choose a Grade Type (e.g., "Skills Assessment" or "Exam Grade").
  • Assign the relevant Semester to the grade group.
  • Select the Evaluation type for each grade:
    • Numerical Grade
    • Verbal Evaluation
    • Skills – Numerical Grade
    • Skills – Verbal Evaluation

Step 5: Configure Publish Status

Control who can view the Gradebook by setting its publish status:

  • Private: Only visible to the teacher.
  • By Permission: Requires admin approval for publication.
  • Published: Visible to students and parents.



Step 6: Assign Internal Subject (Optional)

If applicable, select an internal subject from the dropdown (e.g., "General Studies" or a specific subject). This step helps in categorizing the gradebook more effectively.


Step 7: Save the Gradebook

Review all the entered information and click the Save button to finalize the Gradebook.
