Edunation provides a user-friendly interface for teachers to manage and update gradebooks and assessments efficiently. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you add grades in the Gradebooks section:
Accessing the Gradebooks Section
- Log in to your Edunation account.
- From the left-hand menu, navigate to MY BACKPACK Assessment and select Gradebooks.
- You will see a list of all gradebooks for the courses you teach.
Adding a New Gradebook
- Click on the “+” icon located at the top-right corner of the Gradebooks page.
- Fill in the required details, such as:
- Title: Name of the gradebook (e.g., First Assessment - Mathematics).
- Group Name: The class or group to which the gradebook applies.
- Subject: The relevant subject for the gradebook.
- Semester: Specify the semester for the assessment.
- Click Save to create the new gradebook.
Filtering Gradebooks
To refine the view of gradebooks:
- Click on Add Filter on the right-hand panel.
- Use the filters to display gradebooks by:
- Semester
- Group Name
- Subject
- Lock Status
- Active/Deleted records
- Apply the filters by clicking Filter.
Adding Grades to a Gradebook
- Open the gradebook by clicking on its title.
- A list of students enrolled in the selected course will appear.
- Enter the grades for each student in the corresponding fields.
- Add comments or notes for specific students if needed.
- After inputting all grades, click Save to ensure the information is stored.
Assessment Updates
- Edit Existing Grades: To modify a grade, open the gradebook, make the changes, and save.
- Lock Gradebooks: Use the Lock Status filter to view locked gradebooks, which cannot be edited further.
